what’s the best possible wi-fi router in the marketplace that can attain the farthest distance?

looking for a actually good wireless router that may attain up to a mile away with a excellent signal still. i do not even comprehend if that is possible.
fail to remember the mile distance – how about seven hundred-800 feet; with some timber in between the two residences?

    Not possible without external antennas, maybe amplifiers, and you would have to have line-of-sight between the 2 antennas (sites)

    Only if you have clear line of sight, you can consider external antennas or access points, set up in bridging mode. That bridges the network as one “virtual” network. I use these, though I only go 400 feet:

    They have higher power. As well, that vendor has some external antenna/AP combinations, that eliminates the coax cable requirements (fed by power over ethernet cable).

    If you don’t have line of sight, simply forget it…

    Wifi is not designed for that kind of distance. It is purposely designed as a low power system with limited range so that many transmitters and receivers may be used in the same general area and not interfere with each other.
    There is no Wifi router on the market that meets your requirements.

    distance it can reach depends on antenna & wifi card..sooo depends which wifi card u buy…n abt antenna..

    accoudin to us DLINk is best network device providers atleast in Asia…

    thn u can go for CISCO ……..bt its a costly….

    DLINK Is cheap compared to CISCO but afterall one of the quality product…
    soo better u go for it..
