Realtek RTL8192CU Wireless LAN 802. 11n USB 2. 0 Network Adapter #7?

Please help, i plugged this into my computer and it tried downloading the drivers, but it failed, i went to my control panel found the device and updated it and it said it already had the most up to date drivers, when i right click it and go to general the device status says: This device cannot start. (Code 10) i clicked check for solutions a window popped up then closed, please help me in making this work.
I dont have the instalation disk i tried to download the drivers onto a disk and tried that but it still didnt work, also i tried updating it again and it says “windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device, windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it and says the same thing (code10)

    Lemme get this straight. You plugged a networking card in without installing the drivers and expect it to run? Run the installation disk!
    EDIT: download it from the realtek website

    You didn’t indicate what operating system you have but basically you will need to get to the device manager again. Right click on the device and select uninstall. This will remove the drivers, unplug the device and restart your computer. Download the proper drivers and install them. THEN plug in the device.
