Can somebody hack into your laptop when it is became off ?

i have a dsl connection by way of at&t and my ip handle is dynamic ip address which adjustments everytime when you unplug your modem. All of my computer systems are linked to my wireless router which is attached to my dsl modem. Would somebody be able to hack into your computer when it’s turned off ??

    ofcourse. it doesn’t matter if computer is on or off. That’s like asking if you would receive email when your computer is off.

    It depends if someone is on your network and is attempting to hack you, they possibly can.

    but if it is someone on the internet then no they cannot because you are not establishing a connection to the internet so they wont be able to connect to you until you turn on your computer. So essentially it’s like someone trying to connect to you when you don’t have no internet cable connected to your computer

    That’s kind of a complicated answer, but yes they could.

    If a hacker knew how to take control of a computer through the NIC, and if the computer was set to “wake on LAN” mode, then yes. Otherwise no they couldn’t, unless they broke in, stole your computer, and attempted to hack it elsewhere.
